If you’re hooked on Amanda and Alan’s Spanish Job like most of the UK, then you’ll definitely want to come over to the Lecrin Valley, just south of Granada in Andalucia and see what the fuss is all about!
Moclín, the village in Andalucia at the centre of the BBC series, is to the north-west of Granada, while the Lecrin Valley and its picturesque villages, lake and orchards are to the south of the city in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
Located even closer to the city of Granada and the costa Tropical coastline than the village in the show, the Valle de Lecrin (valley of happiness) offers the perfect place for a permanent home, Spanish getaway, or business.
The scenery and villages are very similar, and over the course of the series, you will surely have been inspired by this fabulous area of Spain, and grown to love the Granada province as much as we do!
In Episode 2, Amanda visits Lanjaron, a spa town on the edge of the Lecrin Valley – the gateway to the Alpujarras…This lovely town perches on the hill above our very own Lake Beznar (embargo de Beznar) and has fabulous views over the Lecrin Valley, plus lots of nice restaurants, a spa, artisan shops and of course the famous Lanjaron water.

If you’re loving the scenery, villages and communities shown in Amanda and Alan’s travels, then you’ll love the Lecrin Valley… There are plenty of properties available in the area, so what are you waiting for?
Come and spend some time here… you won’t want to leave!
