The Lecrin Valley is gearing up for a musical summer, with plenty of different music to suit all tastes… July’s temperatures are lovely and warm, but not too hot yet, so it’s the perfect time to enjoy some great music in this beautiful corner of Spain.
What’s On this July
Niguelas en Musica – Festina Lente
This has already started but over July into mid August there’s plenty to keep you occupied on the musical front. Mainly classical music and jazz, the Niguelas music festival is held at various locations throughout this gorgeous village.
The annual summer music course program is also running in Niguelas on 13, 14 y 15 de Julio de 2018 from 10:00 a 14:00 y 16:00 a 20:00. Instruments taught include clarinet, saxophone, percussion and trombone.
Durcal Music Festival – 7 – 8 July 2018
This year is the eighth Dia De La Musica en La Calle, Durcal and it’s always a great day music with loads of different bands to listen to – all playing throughout the town in the streets. There’s plenty of food and drink and other entertainment as well to keep everyone happy. It’s going to be great this year with 40-50 different sets.

Restabal Flamenco & Fiestas
In its eleventh year, the Festival del Flamenco takes place over the weekend of the annual Restabal Fiestas – the last weekend of July. On Friday 27 July, the plaza del Antiguo will become the stage for a top flamenco show, featuring the vocals of El Guadiana, La Nitra, Jose Fernandez and Santiesteban; dancers, Grupo de Baile de Claudia de Debla and on guitars, Ramon del Paso and Jose Fernandez Hijo.
